Now, that's a very beautiful and astonishing self-portrait. It really tells a story, but you need the time to look into this and analyse each part.

You did an amazing job, it's very detailed and delicate in some melancholic way.

This is melancholy or is it depression? No, for me, in away it is too peaceful and gentle for depression, so I'll stick with melancholy... it is beautiful and powerful. The grey background with its fine lines and distant cityscape really throws into relief the central figure's solitude... and yet the bushfire (as we say in the land of Oz) within says you ain't giving up, stand back I'm coming thru... I love the complexity of the feeling i get as I look at it longer... definitely worthy DD

I really love how the fury of the forest fire is shown in the outlines of this boy, the broken decay of his mind perhaps resulting in the cracks and broken pieces of the image? Most interesting
